Stylize Your Shutters with Options like Craftsman Shutter Frames in Orlando
A misconception we hear occasionally from Orlando homeowners is that “all shutters look the same.” Let’s eliminate any misconception – that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Most people aren’t aware of just how many options you have when it comes to interior plantation shutters in Orlando, and what kind of impact those options may have. One of the most important of those options is the type of shutter frame you go with.
Orlando Custom Shutter Frames
The options available to you for shutter frames will depend on:
-
How your window operates.
-
The depth of the window jamb.
-
Whether you need to have an inside or outside mount.
-
Your own personal taste.
A few of our shutter frames are only available in certain materials, such as our Polywood® faux wood shutters, a few are exclusive to an inside or outside mount of a window, and some might just look better than others with your existing trim, like our Craftsman frame shutters, great for Craftsman style homes and offered exclusively by Sunburst.
Let’s take a look at some of our most popular shutter frames among Orlando homeowners.
Craftsman Frame Shutters - You can’t turn on an episode of Flip or Flop without seeing Craftsman design. This Sunburst-exclusive frame was built especially for Craftsman style houses and homes with similar aesthetics. A Craftsman frame offers a clean and simple look, so no part of your home looks gaudy compared to the rest. If getting back to your Craftsman roots is what you want, this is your shutter frame. Currently offered in Polywood and reclaimed wood shutters only.
L-Frame Shutters - An L-frame is probably the least complex and most functional type of shutter frame. They have a smooth, contemporary look, and tend to be the easiest to work around if your window has a peculiar size or shape. The L-frame can function as both an outside and inside mount, in case you want to keep your existing window trim in place, and is offered in every single one of our shutters.
Z-Frame Shutters - Z-frames are a widely-chosen style because they give you a chic, elegant look to your window, not unlike crown or bass molding. This frame is called a “Z-frame” because of the shape of its exterior, which is mounted on the inside of the window jamb, but wraps around to the outside creating a “Z” shape. That extended shape makes it so you don’t even need window trim around the window. Z-frames are available in all of our shutter materials.
Decorative Frame Shutters - A decorative frame definitely lives up to its name. With stylish texture and an attention-grabbing shape, this frame is best used when you have no existing window trim, or if you want to cover your existing trim. Decorative frames are offered in Polywood faux wood and Ovation hardwood shutters.
