Not only are Polywood® shutters a completely recyclable shutter, but they are also made of up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in Orlando or even America that does that.

Sunburst supports green products, designs, and buildings. We show our commitment by reusing our materials whenever it’s feasible. We recycle water that cools down components when they’re finished in the ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and recycle them into new shutters. Each year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.

When we prepare our window treatments to be transported to your house for installation, we put reusable corner pieces on the sides of the louvers and use the least amount of cardboard to pack up the shutters.

Our interior shutters use patented paints that are shown to be environmentally safe and hypoallergenic. During our manufacturing method, none of our paints give off fumes. We mean it when we say our paints are safe.
